On October 29th, 1989, Gary and Geneviève Morris officially opened Résidence Simon. To this date, it has been considered one of the most attractive retirement Homes in Eastern Ontario.
Albert and Dixie Bourdeau purchased
Résidence Simon on July 7th, 2005 with the intention of maintaining and further elevating its high standards of excellence. They have remained determined to preserve its good reputation.
Soon after the purchase, the staff were trained to work as a Team for our Residents and to develop the feel of “one big family”. All members of The Team were required to sign up for professional development courses and seminars, including CPR and First Aid. Major renovations were undertaken in 2008 to upgrade RÉSIDENCE SIMON, so it was better adapted to offer the upgraded services to residents. Two rooms were added in 2009, and the inside courtyard was partly re-landscaped in 2010 so residents could enjoy easier access to the outdoor space.
Our vision includes further development of the Residence in the near future.
